Shop Opening Hours:  Tuesday-Saturday 10:00-17:00.   

Location:  7 Tudor Arcade, South Street, Dorchester, Dorset. DT1 1BN (town centre)

About Us  

Isha Body Jewellery is home to luxury body piercing, ear curation and online sales.  The business was established in 2015 and is owned and directed by Emma Rance; licensed Body Piercer with industry experience dating back to 1998.  She is Dorset’s only member of the Association of Professional Piercers (APP & UKAPP) and is part of the Junipurr Jewellery and Stiletto Piercing Supplies Pro Teams.    

Team Isha is fully inclusive and pride themselves on equality and welcoming diversity. The team is currently formed of three – Emma plus Steph (Shop Supervisor) and Ayisha (part time Front of House (FOH) Sales Assistant.  The FOH provide full support to the Body Piercer.  

Isha originally opened on Antelope Walk in 2021 and relocated to Tudor Arcade in October 2024.  Isha is home to the largest collection of APP approved brands in Dorset. These include Junipurr, Industrial Strength, Anatometal, NeoMetal, Modern Mood, Clickerino and LeRoi.

Responsibilities: 

Delivering the highest levels of professionalism and quality customer care in accordance with shop policies. 

Body jewellery merchandising, sales and order fulfilment. 

Providing client management before and after appointment body piercing and jewellery change bookings 
 
Social media management - content creation, planning and delivery. 

Maintaining the health and hygiene requirements set our Membership to the Association of Professional Piercers (APP & UKAPP).   

Role Requirements:  

  • 3+ years of experience in retail/customer care: Point of Sale (POS) system, order fulfilment, cash handling, key holding and communications.  
  • Experience in professional social media management: Content creation – design and implementation of visually appealing graphics, imagery and video of products and piercing education for Tik Tok, Instagram, Facebook, emails, blogs and web pages.    
  • Good experience of body piercing and body jewellery professionally and/or personally. 

 
You Are:  

Motivated, hardworking, reliable with excellent time management and keen to aspire to being the best through commitment and continued learning.  

An excellent communicator with confidence and patience in delivery. Clients often require a considerate and sympathetic listener.  

Able to demonstrate a professional ethos, etiquette and demeanour with a smart and well-kempt appearance ("dress code" required).   

Good understanding in the range of body piercings and aesthetic adornments made from safe, APP-approved implant jewellery materials. 

Able to work alone with initiative and integrity but also able to demonstrate a strong team ethic. 

Able to commit to working school holidays and Saturdays.   
 

Training Provided:  

A three-month probationary period to align Brand policies, ethos and knowledge on APP approved jewellery Brands, if not already familiar.  

In-house training, where required.  
 
The position is fully employed with benefits of 28 days paid holiday leave per year, employee discount & pension.  


Why Dorset? 
 

Over half of Dorset is designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) and probably a contributing factor to inhabitants having the highest life expectancy in the country according to the Office of National Statistics! 

This south coast destination is almost 100 miles long with a variety of coastlines including golden sandy beaches and rocky shores coves fringing blue-green waters between Lyme Regis and Bournemouth.  Water Sports enthusiasts flock year-round to the safe Harbours of Christchurch, Poole and Portland.   

Dorset is home to the Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site and the Cerne Abbas Giant amongst other historical curiosities.  The nearby Old Tea Room in Antelope Walk was the site for the Bloody Assizes court trial led by Judge Jeffreys in 1685. The ghost of this notorious “Hanging Judge” is said to still haunt the area!
