Forever Welded Jewellery FAQs

Before Your Appointment

Forever welded jewellery is custom-fitted jewellery that is
welded closed directly on the body, creating a seamless piece without a
traditional clasp.

Popular choices include bracelets, anklets, necklaces and
rings, as well as selected jewellery for healed piercings.

The process is quick, painless and creates a beautiful piece
of jewellery designed for long-term wear.

Forever welded jewellery is about more than simply creating a weld.

At Isha, every appointment is delivered by an experienced jewellery team with a passion for quality, craftsmanship and client care. We take the time to help you select the right chain, fit and styling details to create a piece that feels personal and meaningful.

Unlike temporary pop-up events, we offer ongoing support, future styling appointments, rewelding services and the reassurance of an established independent jewellery business that you can return to whenever you need us.

Our goal is to create jewellery that you'll love wearing every day and memories that last long after your appointment ends.

The cost of forever welded jewellery is made up of two parts:

  • A professional fitting and welding service fee, paid when booking your appointment.
  • The jewellery itself, which is chosen and purchased during your visit.

This approach allows you to explore our collections in person and select the exact chain, metal and optional charms or connectors that feel right for you.

Sterling silver, gold-filled and solid gold options are available, with styles to suit a variety of budgets and personal tastes.

For current service fees, chain prices and upgrade options, please visit our Prices & Booking page.

Appointments can be booked online at a time that suits you.

To secure your appointment, a fitting and welding service fee is paid at the time of booking. Your jewellery is then selected and purchased during your visit, allowing you to view our collections in person and choose the perfect chain, fit and styling details for your jewellery.

Most appointments take around 30-45 minutes, depending on the jewellery selected and whether additional charms or connectors are being added.

If you are booking for a special occasion, group visit or one of our exclusive Isha Forever Evenings, we recommend contacting us in advance so we can help create the perfect experience.

Forever welded jewellery is both safe and comfortable to wear.

The welding process takes place on a tiny jump ring that joins the chain together. The jewellery itself does not become hot, and the skin is protected throughout the procedure.

Our Welders are trained, certified and insured to carry out safe jewellery welding procedures. We use a specialist jewellery welder that creates a small, controlled spark to join the chain, and a protective patch is placed between the weld point and the skin as an additional safety measure.

All clients are asked to wear protective safety glasses during the brief welding process, and we are always happy to answer any questions before, during or after your appointment.

Most clients are surprised by how quick, straightforward and comfortable the experience is.

We recommend booking in advance to guarantee availability
and allow plenty of time to explore our chain and charm collections.

Walk-ins may be available when our welding specialists are
free, but appointments are always recommended.

We offer a carefully curated selection of:

• Sterling Silver
• Gold Filled
• Solid Gold

Additional charms, connectors and decorative elements are
available to personalise your jewellery and create a piece that is uniquely
yours.

All children and young people under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian during their appointment.

Forever Welded Jewellery is available for clients aged 16 and over.

For younger clients, we are delighted to offer the same beautiful chains fitted with a removable clasp rather than a permanent weld. This provides greater flexibility for school, sports and other activities whilst still allowing them to enjoy the style and sentiment of our welded jewellery collections.

We generally recommend a minimum age of 13 for bracelets, as our chains are delicate pieces of fine jewellery designed to be worn with care. This guidance helps ensure the jewellery remains secure and can be enjoyed for longer.

As with all fine jewellery, we are unable to guarantee against loss, and the likelihood of accidental loss may be higher for younger wearers.

Our intention is simply to ensure every client receives the very best value, enjoyment and longevity from their jewellery. If you are unsure whether forever jewellery is suitable, our team will be happy to advise before booking.

Certain medical devices may be affected by welding equipment.

If you have a pacemaker, implanted medical device or any concerns regarding your suitability, please contact us before booking so we can advise accordingly.

Living With Your Jewellery

Yes.

Although designed for long-term wear, forever jewellery can be removed at any time by carefully cutting the small welded jump ring.

Many clients remove their jewellery temporarily for medical procedures and return for rewelding afterwards.

Forever welded jewellery is designed for everyday wear, but like all fine jewellery, it will benefit from a little care and attention to keep it looking its best.

We recommend gently cleaning your jewellery from time to time to remove the build-up of skincare products, soap, sunscreen and everyday debris. Sterling silver may occasionally require polishing to maintain its shine, whilst gold-filled and solid gold jewellery generally require very little maintenance.

The longevity and appearance of your jewellery will also depend on your lifestyle, activities and exposure to chemicals such as chlorine, cleaning products and perfumes.

For detailed cleaning, maintenance and care advice, please visit our Forever Welded Jewellery Aftercare Guide.

Most medical professionals will advise whether jewellery
should be removed before a procedure.

If removal is required, simply have the
jewellery cut at the welded connection point. Keep the chain safe and we can
usually reweld it for you at a later date.

In most cases, no.

Fine jewellery worn daily rarely causes any issues when travelling. However, airport security procedures vary worldwide, so we
recommend following any instructions provided by security staff.

Yes. Forever welded jewellery is designed for everyday wear and can be worn whilst showering, exercising and swimming.

However, exposure to chlorine, salt water, skincare products, fake tan, perfumes and cleaning chemicals may affect the appearance of your jewellery over time, particularly sterling silver and gold-filled pieces.

We recommend rinsing your jewellery with fresh water after swimming and cleaning it periodically to keep it looking its best.

For detailed care advice, please visit our Forever Welded Jewellery Aftercare Guide.

The appearance of your jewellery will depend on the material chosen, your lifestyle and how it is cared for.

Solid gold offers the highest level of durability and resistance to tarnishing. Gold-filled jewellery is designed to provide long-lasting wear and excellent colour retention when properly cared for. Sterling silver may naturally oxidise over time, particularly when exposed to moisture, chemicals and certain skincare products.

Regular cleaning and occasional polishing can help keep your jewellery looking beautiful for years to come. We recommend these products.

If you're unsure which metal is right for you, our team will be happy to discuss the options during your appointment.

Forever welded jewellery is designed for long-term wear and many clients enjoy their jewellery continuously for years.

The lifespan of your jewellery will depend on several factors, including the material chosen, your lifestyle, daily activities and how well the jewellery is cared for.

Whilst the weld itself is designed to be durable, jewellery remains a delicate item and may eventually require maintenance, rewelding or replacement due to normal wear and tear.

Our goal is to help you choose jewellery that suits both your style and lifestyle, ensuring you can enjoy your piece for as long as possible.

ONGOING CARE & SUPPORT

Like any fine jewellery, forever welded jewellery can occasionally catch on clothing, towels, bags, sports equipment or other objects.

If your jewellery breaks, we recommend keeping all parts of the chain and contacting us as soon as possible. In many cases, jewellery that has separated at the weld point can be rewelded. If the chain has stretched, become damaged or sections have been lost, a repair or replacement chain may be required.

Our team will be happy to assess the jewellery and advise on the most appropriate solution.

Whilst forever welded jewellery is designed for everyday wear, no jewellery is completely immune to accidental damage.

Our Welders at Isha carefully inspect every piece of forever welded jewellery before you leave to ensure the weld is secure and completed to a high standard.

Whilst we do not guarantee a lifetime weld, we do stand behind our workmanship. If your jewellery separates at the weld point within the first month following your appointment, we will provide one complimentary reweld.

Additional reweld appointments are available at a charge of £15 per weld.

As jewellery is worn continuously and exposed to a wide variety of lifestyles, occupations, activities and environmental factors, we are unable to guarantee against accidental damage, stretching, snagging, breakage or loss.

Unfortunately, we cannot offer replacements, refunds or discounts for lost chains or jewellery. This is because the circumstances surrounding loss are unique to each wearer and are outside of our control.

If you have any concerns about your jewellery, please contact our team and we will always do our best to help.

Absolutely.

Many clients begin with a simple chain and return later to personalise their jewellery with charms, gemstones, connectors or additional welded pieces.

Whether you're marking a milestone, celebrating a special occasion or simply refreshing your style, we're always happy to help you evolve your jewellery over time.
