What To Expect

Whether it’s your very first piercing or a carefully planned addition to an existing curation, we understand that visiting a piercing studio can feel both exciting and a little nerve-wracking.

At Isha Body Jewellery, we aim to create a calm, welcoming and professional experience from the moment you arrive.

YOUR APPOINTMENT

When you arrive at the studio, we’ll begin by checking your identification and discussing the piercing or jewellery styling you have booked for.

Your piercer will talk through:

  • placement options
  • anatomy suitability
  • healing expectations
  • jewellery recommendations
  • aftercare guidance

We always encourage questions and want you to feel fully informed and comfortable before proceeding.

JEWELLERY SELECTION

Following your anatomy assessment, we’ll guide you through jewellery options suited to your piercing, anatomy and personal style.

We specialise in high quality body jewellery using APP verified implant-grade materials, including implant-grade titanium and solid gold options carefully selected for both safety and long-term wearability.

Whether you prefer something minimal and delicate or more statement-led styling, we’ll help you choose jewellery designed to complement both your anatomy and long-term jewellery goals.

While your jewellery is being prepared and sterilised for the procedure, you’ll complete your consent form and medical information.

THE PIERCING PROCEDURE

All piercings are performed in a dedicated clinical piercing room using sterile, single-use needles and professional aseptic techniques in accordance with APP & UKAPP standards.

Before the procedure:

  • the placement will be carefully marked
  • positioning will be checked together using a mirror
  • anatomy and symmetry will be assessed

Once you are happy with the placement, the piercing will be performed and jewellery immediately fitted.

Most clients are surprised by how quick the procedure itself is.

AFTERCARE & HEALING

Before leaving the studio, we’ll explain how to care for your new piercing and answer any questions you may have regarding healing, downsizing and jewellery changes.

You’ll also receive:

  • verbal aftercare guidance
  • a digital copy of your consent form
  • aftercare information by email

Healing is a gradual process and it’s completely normal for piercings to experience swelling, tenderness and occasional irritation during this time.

We strongly recommend attending your advised downsizing appointment, as wearing appropriately fitted jewellery is an important part of healthy long-term healing.

A CALM & PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

We understand that everybody experiences piercing differently. Some clients arrive excited and confident, whilst others may feel nervous or overwhelmed — especially during a first appointment.

Our aim is never to rush the process. We pride ourselves on creating a calm, supportive and inclusive environment where clients feel listened to, respected and cared for throughout their visit.

A NOTE ON ANATOMY

Not every piercing is suitable for every anatomy. During your appointment, your piercer will assess whether the piercing you have requested is viable and safe for your individual anatomy and healing ability.

In some cases, we may recommend:

  • alternative placements
  • different jewellery styles
  • postponing a piercing
  • or declining the procedure entirely

This is always done with your long-term healing, comfort and safety in mind.

WE LOOK FORWARD TO WELCOMING YOU

Whether you’re visiting for a single lobe piercing, a curated ear project or a special jewellery upgrade, our goal is to create a thoughtful experience centred around safety, beautiful placement and jewellery designed to be enjoyed long after your appointment.
